I only take on a limited amount of clients per month as I believe it is important that we align creatively. This means quick support from me both before and after your photoshoot.
Nobody wants to wait ages to see their final photos. I aim to have your gallery edited as quickly as I can and average around 2 weeks from the day of your session to the day you can come back in to view them.
I will find and capture your best angle, use my extensive knowledge of lighting, photography and editing to make sure you absolutely glow in your images. I want you to look amazing and I make sure you do.

My studio is located in a historic picturesque building. It provides a safe, professional and private space where you can relax and be yourself. There is unlimited free parking and security, no stairs and all the latest equipment and technology.
As a Mother nothing surprises me. I have lots of tricks up my sleeve for my more assertive little clients, and I can almost always get a smile - even if it is just for a 200th of a second (that is literally all I need)!

I am Filiz, a creative, a dreamer and Mother. I am on a personal mission to raise women up but also to reframe photography in general and how people see it. To take it away from phone screens that won’t survive the next few years and put it back on our walls and in albums on our shelves.
I take a lot of pride in providing a luxury experience at Filiz photography and I am passionate about making every photoshoot special for all of my clients.
I am extensively trained in safe newborn posing, having completed multiple in person and online courses by the best in the industry with full focus on safety at all times.
I initially studied analogue film photography and darkroom processing, which is where my distinctive creative style and lighting were born from. With over 20 years of experience in photography, my work is artistic and dreamy and has won me quite a few awards along the way.
I am a romantic at heart and love capturing that real and sometimes old-fashioned love. Every family photoshoot starts with a good love story and I am dedicated to capturing yours from the start and as your lives change, grow and evolve.
At Filiz photography I specialise in Maternity, Women’s Portraiture, Family and Newborn photography and I am devoted to empowering women always.
Getting to be ‘Mama’ to my incredible son and experience life together is the most beautiful and humbling experience and I am so grateful for him. My regular clients are all familiar with him, fondly known as ‘Little Legs’ (even though he is now 10) as you will often find him at the studio, bossing, sorry helping me out! The two of us love to laugh and are unintentionally comedy gold. Little Legs loves to be a part of the business and is becoming quite a photographer himself!

I realised there was an outdated belief system from certain cultures, that said women in general should not show off their looks or their bodies. A woman should always be modestly dressed, quiet, unopinionated and hide away, especially when they are pregnant. Women were never as important as men.
As a girl I know how that mentality made me feel growing up, as a Woman I know how it made me feel in the workplace, and as a Mother I learned how that narrative would made me feel when I was pregnant.
I experienced it first hand and I wanted to change the world and make sure that no woman ever felt like that again. That is when Filiz photography was born.
I love seeing the effect these photoshoots have on women, from the change in confidence and even in their posture. It is like therapy. This is why I am so passionate about providing artwork, because all they need to do is look back at that picture on the wall or album and be taken back to the moment were they felt beautiful and untouchable.
I love to photograph all types of people big and small, but I do have favourites and mine are the women that have just woken up to the reality that we can do anything.
